How to add music to a video
- Open a video, or drop it on the page.
- Choose a music file, and set its volume, fades and start time.
- Keep or remove the video's own sound, then select Add music and save the video.
Mix it or replace it
Keep the video's sound and set its volume next to the music, so a voice stays clear over a quiet track. Or turn it off and use the music alone.
Fits your video's length
Music longer than the video is cut at the end of the video, with the fade out placed there. Shorter music can loop until the end or play once, and it can start at any moment you choose.
The picture stays untouched
Only the sound changes. The compressed picture is copied as it is whenever the file can hold it, so it takes seconds and there is no loss of quality. Video and music stay on your device.
Questions about Add music to video
Are my video and music uploaded?
No. Both are read and mixed in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.
Which music files work?
Any your browser can read, usually MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG and FLAC.
Does adding music lower the video's quality?
The picture is normally copied without re-encoding, so its quality is exactly the same. The sound is encoded again once the two are mixed.
Can I use any song?
Only music you have the right to use. Apps and video sites may mute or remove videos with copyrighted music.
Can I remove the original sound?
Yes: turn off Keep the video's own sound. To remove the sound without adding music, use Mute video.
