Video được giải mã và mã hóa bằng bộ máy video có sẵn của trình duyệt (WebCodecs); Scissor Film không kèm bộ giải mã video hay âm thanh nào của riêng mình. Tệp MP3 được tạo bằng bộ mã hóa MP3 LAME, được biên dịch sang WebAssembly và sử dụng theo GNU LGPL. Mã nguồn của nó được liên kết ở trên, và bộ mã hóa là một tệp riêng mà bạn có thể thay bằng bản dựng của chính mình.
